Lifetime measurements in Dy nuclei with mass A ∼ 150
- 1. Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi, Delhi 110007 (India)
Description
The nuclei with mass A ∼ 150 outside the closed shell are of great interest due to variety of nuclear structure properties produced by the number and type of valence nucleons. Although 152Dy have valence two protons and four neutrons shows some collective behaviour. Isomer also present in this mass region the existence of such high-spin isomeric states may be arise due to single-particle potential become axially symmetric with respect to spin direction and due to such isomeric states the irregularities of the level spacing in the yrast lines are observed. Our work is concentrate on lifetime measurement of the high spin states above J= 49/2 isomeric state in 151Dy. With this motivation, the lifetime measurement in 151Dy have been done via recoil distance Doppler shift technique using plunger setup available at Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), Delhi
