Radiation damage in DNA: Structure/function relationships at early times
- 1. Pacific Northwest Lab., Richland, WA (United States). Biology and Chemistry Dept.
- 2. National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC (United States). National Research Council
Description
This conference was held October 1--6, 1994 in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. The purpose of this conference was to provide a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of state-of-the-art information on radiation-induced damage to DNA. Attention is focused on the following: structural biology of damaged DNA; the relevance of these perturbed structures to the many facets of DNA repair; the technical problems associated with preparation and/or availability of suitable damaged DNA templates for study; and the new technologies available to study structural properties of damaged DNA oligomers and time-resolved free radical processes. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases
