Laboratory complex for X-ray diffraction studies of shock-compressed materials with exposure time of ∼50 nsec
Description
A complex designed for x-ray diffraction studies of shock-compressed crystals is described. The complex includes a generator for acceleration of thin dielectric strikers to velocities of 1.0-5.0 km/sec and a generator of pulsed x-radiation based on a plasma-focus chamber. The diffraction patterns are captured on high-speed film from a ZnS luminescent screen. 15 refs., 3 figs
