Magnetic interactions in Ag-Mn from superconducting pair breaking

Description
Magnetic interactions due to Mn impurities in Ag have been studied via the superconducting proximity effect. From the smearing of tunnelling conductance curves, the s-d exchange interaction J0 has been estimated to 0.4 eV. No pronounced impurity band within the superconducting energy gap was seen in the excitation spectrum. (Auth.)
