Kinetics and mechanism of liquid-phase oxidation of cyclohexene

Description
Kinetic regularities of cyclohexene oxidation with molecular oxygen in the presence of cobalt-molybdenum catalyst were investigated. It is shown that the time-dependent formation of all products can be described by an additive scheme which accounts for earlier found regularities in the cyclohexene oxidation during the Co catalysis, in the hydroperoxide decomposition during the Mo catalysis and a new stage specific for bimetallic catalysis - the formation of low-activity Co-Mo complex. Its formation in the solution was supported by data of paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy
