Description
Objective: To study the changes of serum IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels after treatment in patients with gastric ulcer. Methods: Serum IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels were examined with RIA both before and after treatment in 33 patients with gastric ulcer and compared with 35 normal controls. Results: Before treatment, serum IL-6,TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels were significantly higher in patients than those in controls (P < 0.01), after treatment for 3 months, the serum IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels in patients were much difference than those in controls(P > 0.05). Conclusion: Changes of serum IL-6, TNF-α and TGF-β1 levels after treatment can contribute to realize the pathosis and prognosis in patients with gastric ulcer. Therefore, might be of important value clinically in patients with gastric ulcer. (author)
