Description
We have performed a time-dependent Hartree-Fock calculation for the 16O + 40Ca and 16O + 48Ca systems to study charge equalibration, which is found to be related to the longitudinal component of the giant dipole resonance of the composite system. The quantities which can be deduced from the calculation are in agreement with those used in phenomenological calculations. (orig.)
