Stabilization of uranium (3) by tetraphenyl borate ion in aqueous solution
Creators
Description
A study was made on stabilization of U3+ aqueous solutions by tetraphenyl borate ion (NaTPB). It was revealed that introduction of NaTPB increased the stability of U3+ solutions in water; oxidation half-time grew at that by more than one order. It is proposed that stabilizing effect of NaTPB with respect to U3+ is related with steric influence of TPB--ion in result of umbellate effect
