Equipment for measuring liquid metal pressure

The equipment essentially consists of a bypass connected to the main pipe or to the liquid metal tank. The top part of the bypass is provided with a valve in whose bottom section an electromagnetic pump is installed. The pump forces the liquid metal from the space above the pump to the main pipe of to the tank. The liquid metal level above the pump depends on its pressure and is measured by a level gauge. The level is maintained at a constant height by controlling the operation of the electromagnetic pump. The liquid metal pressure is given by the current or intensity of the electromagnetic field.
