Description
The study investigates the impact of agriculture on the earth's atmosphere. It describes the natural carbon cycle, the socioeconomic factors that influence it, and the climate effects. The climatic relevance of gaseous sulphur and nitrogen compounds, methane and other hydrocarbons, and ammonia emissions from biological and agricultural process is discussed. (SR)

Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Einfluesse der Landwirtschaft auf die Erdatmosphaere. Beschrieben wird der natuerliche Kohlenstoffkreislauf, sozialoekonomische Einwirkungen darauf und die Auswirkungen auf das Klima. Die Relevanz von gasfoermigen Schwefelverbindungen und Stickstoffverbindungen, Methan, weiteren Kohlenwasserstoffen und Ammoniak-Emissionen aus biologischen und landwirtschaftlichen Prozessen fuer die Klimaveraenderung wird diskutiert.
