Concentration dependences of mechanical properties of solid solutions of Bi2Te2.85Se0.15-In2Te3 cross-section Bi-In-Se-Te system
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow (USSR). Inst. Metallurgii
Description
The effect of indium telluride In2Te3 on mechanical properties of Bi2Te2.85Se0.15 alloy is studied. The cross section Bi2Te2.85Se0.15-In2Te3 has not been previosly investigated. It is shown that flexural strength coincide at 200 and 300 K, and at 400 K it is lower. The flexural and compression strength characteristics pass through a smooth maximum. The deformation value before failure passes through a minimum, respectively. It can be proposed that anomalies of the mechanical properties are caused by the fact that at low and high In2Te3 concentration In atoms occupy different positions in the Bi2Te3 lattice
