  • 1. Japanese Home Team Leader (Japan)

Description

In this paper we report on the progress of ITER R and D in the Japanese Home Team. In close collaboration with more than 30 top level industries and many universities, various R and D tasks assigned to the Japanese Home Team have been conducted. In particular, reactor structures such as superconducting coils and vacuum vessel, in-vessel components such as blanket and divertor, out-vessel components such as heating and current drive systems, remote maintenance technology, and seismic isolation systems have shown significant progress.
