Description
Crystallization behaviour of a series of lithium phosphate glasses from the system Li2O-P2O5-SiO2 with different content of TiO2 and Al2O3 has been studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the main crystalline phases are lithium titanium phosphate (LiTi2(PO4)3), aluminium phosphate (AlPO4) and titanium phosphate (TiP2O7). Lithium titanium phosphate as a predominant phase crystallizes in the glass containing more than 10 wt.% of TiO2. Volume rapid crystallization is observed in the studied glasses with more than 15 wt.% of TiO2. Decreasing Al2O3 content leads to higher crystallization tendency. (author)
