Calculational and experimental determination of the value of radiation heating of elements in the WWER-440 in core monitoring system
Description
A method for evaluating the error of measurements performed using thermocouples of the WWER-440 reactor in-core monitoring system connected with radiation heating is proposed. As a result of special investigations performed at the Kola NPP the value of measurement error for the coolant temperature at a fuel assembly outlet is determined. Under the reactor operation at nominal power level the value of radiation heating for the TKhK-0665 standard detectors falls within 0.1-2.8 deg C. A conclusion is drawn that the value of correction to thermocouple radiation heating is directly proportional to reactor power
