Synthesis and investigation of bicomplex nitroso compounds of osmium and ruthenium

Description
Osmium and ruthenium bicomplexes containing OsNO(3) and RuNO(3) groups of (MNO)(NH3)4OH)x(MNO(NO2)4OH)xH2O composition (M-Ru and/or Os) and (MNO(NH3)4L(OsNOCl5) composition (L-OH-, Cl-) are synthesized. The composition, structure and properties of the compounds are studied by the methods of chemical analysis, electric conductivity, X-ray phase analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermography. Thermal stability of Ru bicomplexes is found to be close to stability of initial complexes and for some compounds it is higher. Thus, substitution of the cation of alkali metal for compounds Na2(RuNO(NO2)4OH) by (RuNO(NH3)4OH)2+ essentially increases temperature of the beginning of bicomplex decomposition. Octahedral coordination of Ru atoms and trans-configuration of the investigated complexes is confirmed by IR spectra
