Status of service water system inspections: An independent assessment
Creators
Description
As a result of SWS problems affecting safety-related equipment, the NRC has embarked on a series of pilot inspections of nuclear power plants to assess the operational performance of this system. Results of these inspections have provided a useful insight to NRC and utilities and have pointed to potential generic weaknesses. This paper discusses some of the findings from these inspections and provides an independent assessment of the lessons learned
