Description
Determination of angular dependence of directoral dose equivalent quantities. The directional dose equivalent, H (d), has been introduced by the ICRU as one of the new operational quantities used in radiation protection for external radiation sources. By definition, angular distribution of incident photon radiation has an influence on H3 (d). The influence has been determined by means of LiF-100 thermoluminescence dosemeters (TLDs). The measurements were made for different photon energies and two irradiation geometries. The result indicates that pattern of the H3 (d) angular distribution curves are generally independent of the irradiation geometries. (author). 12 figs, 10 refs
