Revision of models for shipping emissions
Description
Shipping is a major source of air pollution. However, less is known about emissions and distribution than for other sources. Several parties have recently jointly proposed to draft a complete model description on the distribution of shipping emissions to air. This article describes the modeling approach, while the emission and dispersion parameters are described in another article in this special issue on shipping.

Scheepvaart is een belangrijke bron van luchtvervuiling. Over de emissies en de verspreiding is minder bekend dan bij de andere bronnen. Een aantal partijen heeft recent gezamenlijk een voorstel voor een complete modelbeschrijving opgesteld voor de verspreiding van scheepvaartemissies naar de lucht. Dit artikel beschrijft de modelleeraanpak, terwijl de emissie- en dispersieparameters elders in dit speciale nummer over scheepvaart beschreven zijn.Additional details
