Low pressure long-term emergency core cooling system of pressurized water nuclear reactor

Creators

Description

The equipment uses the principle of a dual containment for nuclear power plants as described in Czechoslovak patent document 169329. A gravity tank filled with borated water is formed by the top intermediate space. Its mouth is connected with a gravity pipe via a safety valve to a low-pressure accident pump delivery. The side intermediate space is connected to the secondary side of an accident heat exchanger with a thermosiphon pipe via a closing valve for the discharge of reactor residual heat to the water in the side intermediate space.
