Systematics of ground state (p,t) transitions in calcium isotopes
Description
We have made accurate absolute differential cross section measurements for ground state (p,t) transitions on the targets /sup 40,42,43,44,48/Ca in order to study their systematics. Our results are in good agreement with (1f/sub 7/2/)2 pickup in a pure (1f/sub 7/2/)/sup n/ model for these nuclei. At the extremes of the shell, very small admixtures roughly-equal0.5% (1d/sub 3/2/)2 pickup for 42Ca→ 40Ca and roughly-equal0.25% (2p/sub 3/2/)2 pickup for 48Ca→ 46Ca, are required
