Description

The rectifiers for the TEXTOR experiment are designed for: a short operating time (4-20 s) at intervals of approximately 300 s capable to withstand a full short circuit at the d.c. output terminals to be cleared in 100 ms without damage to semiconductors and fuses. Short-circuit tests are performed on the power supplies for the toroidal field 1000 V - 55 kA and the poloidal field 2500 V - 15kA. Design criteria are given, work tests on main components and site tests are discussed. (author)
