Description
Droplet erosion and shielding plasma layer are shown to be closely connected and should be considered together self consisted. Droplet erosion is caused by plasma flow over the melt metal surface. Shielding plasma is produced from droplets evaporation. Experimental data analysis and theoretical models for these processes are presented. (paper)
