Gland assembly
Description
A gland assembly is proposed for high-pressure hot water pumps used in nuclear installations. The assembly consists of at least two stages of face seals interconnected with capillary reducers. Capillaries inserted in tube loops are provided with cooling jackets with the secondary inlets and outlets of cooling water. A temperature sensor for control valve operation is inserted in the tube loop before the capillaries. The control valve is inserted in the secondary cooling water inlet. (M.S.)
