Alternative repair models capable of generating shouldered dose-response curves
Description
The shouldered nature of dose-response curves is briefly discussed in terms of saturable repair models and the enzyme kinetics hypothesis. Since repair capacity is increasingly recognized as a dominant factor in quantitative radiation response, it is suggested that more appropriate and definite terminology be required when referring to the distinctly different models of repair-dependent response such as the enzyme kinetics model.
