Surface acoustic knoidal waves and solitons in LiNbO3-SiO film structure
Description
Using as an example high-amplitude Rayleigh wave propagation in a laminated structure LiNbO3-SiO film the process of their transformation into knoidal waves has been observed experimentally at sound intensity ∼ 100 W/mm2. At 300 W/mm2 their transformation into periodic sequence of KdV-solitons, two solitons with different amplitudes for each period, was observed
