On the formation of muonic hydrogen at low pressure

A discussion of the main parameters of muonic-hydrogen formation in low-pressure targets (1o-2 Torr<P<10 Torr) is presented. Particularly the paper discusses as a function of the pressure, the function of captured muons, the velocity distribution of the μp atoms and the time evolution of the 2S population
