Optical emission spectrum of the EU3+ ion in aqueous nitric solution and in the hexahydrated nitrate

Description
The emission spectrum excited by a laser line (465,8 nm) of the Eu3+ ion in nitric aqueous solution was investigated with respect to the acid concentration by means of a high resolution Raman spectrograph. The 5D0 → 7F0 transition shows three distinct environments for the Eu3+ ion. The nature of one of them can be determined by comparison with the spectra of the crystalline phase Eu(H2O)4(NO3)3, 2H2O

Le spectre d'emission de l'ion Eu3+ excite par une raie laser (465,8 nm), en solution nitrique aqueuse, en fonction de la concentration d'acide a ete enregistre a haute resolution sur un spectrographe Raman. La transition 5D0 → 7Σ0 met en evidence trois environnements distincts pour l'ion Eu3+. L'un de ceux-ci peut etre identifie par comparaison avec le spectre de la phase cristalline Eu(H2O)4(NO3)3, 2H2OAdditional details
