On the U3Si (Dosub(c)) crystallographic type

Creators

  • 1. Nuclear Research Centre-Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel

Description

The examination of X-ray diffraction spectra shows that the U3Si and Ir3Si structure belong to two different crystallographic types. The space group is the same, I4/mcm, but the atomic sites are as follows: U3Si type (Dosub(c)), 4Si(a), 4U(1)(b), 8U(2)(h); Ir3Si type (Do'sub(c)), 4Ir(a), 4Si(b), 8Ir(2)(h). (Auth.)
