Description

Values of dynamic Young's modulus (E) of polycrystalline α-zirconium are measured as a function of temperature in the range 295 to 1000 K by the resonance frequency method. The change in the slope dE/dT of both linear dependences at about 480 K is very expressive. The results are compared with those published in the literature. Slope changes dE/dT are found at 484 K and at temperatures between 435 and 480 K, respectively. Larger discrepancies are observed in the absolute values of E and of the slopes dE/dT
