The unit 2 of the Tihange nuclear power station

After a brief description of the Belgian nuclear programme, the article presents the specifications of the main buildings such as those of the reactor, the fuel storage, the water-steam equipment, the engine room, the cooling tower and the nuclear auxiliaries. A description of the reactor and the primary circuit, the turbine and the secondary circuit, the alternator, the electric systems, the safety system of the equipments and the economic aspects is also given.
