Mechanical and metallurgical examination of test bars of the reactor vessel at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant

In the case of earlier reactor vessels the danger of the test bars could be estimated only on the basis of changing in mechanical properties and chemical composition. The reactor vessel of unit 1 in the Paks Nuclear Power Plant is one of the first ones where test bars are used for damage determination. The paper describes the periodical test methods of neutron embrittlement, mechanical properties and their evaluation in the case of the unit 1 of the power station. (author) 4 refs.; 6 figs
