A new high-efficiency method of resonance-ionization atom spectroscopy of short-lived nuclei

Description
Yb nuclide neutron-deficient atoms were studied on the basis of the earlier proposed high-efficiency method of resonance ionization spectroscopy. Isotopic shift values were measured (on the line with wave length of λ=555,6 mm) for atoms of 154,156,160,162,164,166Yb isotopes as related to 168Yb isotope, which constituted correspondingly 16940(85), 13650(160), 8670(110), 6150(110), 3590(100) and 1560(120) MHz. The spectrum of the most short-lived isotope 154Yb (T1/2=0.4 s) is presented
