Positional-plane effect in isotope exchange with oxygen in the YBa2Cu3O7-σ-gas system

Description
It is found that isotope exchange with respect to oxygen between gas phase and crystalline YBa2Cu3O7-σ can occur in several stages. This effect is seen from isochronous annealing of samples and it is connected with positions and planes of various types in a crystal lattice. The revealed positional-plane effect can be used for obtaining information on atomic oxygen diffusion and for synthesis of crystals with the given isotope composition with respect to oxygen sublattice positions
