Description
Relevant aspects of the South African uranium enrichment project are briefly outlined. Scientific and technical features of the process are described. It is an aerodynamic type process using a high performance stationary-walled centrifuge using UF6 in hydrogen as a process fluid. Furthermore the economic feasibility of a commercial enrichment plant in South Africa as well as general details of the pilot plant are mentioned. (M.duB.)
