Duality and the THETA parameter in abelian lattice models
Description
The phase diagrams of abelian lattice gauge theories in four dimensions, and spin models in two dimensions, in the presence of a THETA-parameter, are constructed using duality arguments. A rich structure involving an infinite number of phases emerges, together with a mechanism for spontaneous CP violation at THETA = π. (orig.)
