The do experiment

  • 1. Brookhaven National Laboratory, Upton, NY (USA)

Description

We describe the status of the DO experiment of the TeV-I collider program at Fermilab. This non-magnetic spectrometer consists of central tracking chambers with transition-radiation detectors, surrounded hermetically by high resolution electromagnetic and hadronic uranium-liquid argon calorimeters, followed beyond the calorimetry by instrumented magnetized-iron. This second-generation detector system is expected to be ready for data taking in 1989
