Relativistic hydromagnetic wave propagation and instability in an anisotropic universe

  • 1. University of Cincinnati and University of Thessaloniki

Description

Exact equations governing finite-amplitude wave propagation in hydromagnetic media are derived within the general theory of relativity. These equations are then used to discuss the stability of a hydromagnetic cosmological model, and a general relativistic counterpart of Parker's instability is isolated
