Fast-neutron radiative-capture cross sections and transmissions for tungsten isotopes

  • 1. Physics and Power Engineering Institute, Obninsk

Description

Neutron radiative-capture cross sections in the energy range 5--400 keV and transmissions in the energy range 5--1000 keV for /sup 180,//sup 182,//sup 183,/ /sup 184,/ 186W have been measured using the time-of-flight method at the pulsed electrostatic accelerator EG-1 in the Physics and Power Engineering Institute. The analysis of the experimental data was done in the framework of the statistical theory of nuclear reactions. The neutron and radiative strength functions for p and d-neutrons and the radius of potential scattering for s-neutrons were obtained
