Power ion beam generator for gas laser pumping

Description
GIMN specialized accelerator for gas laser pumping by nanosecond duration ion beam is described. Parameters of pulsed voltage generator are as follows: charging voltage on line is 1.5 MV; line energy supply - 8 kJ; pulse duration - 80 ns; current - 120 kA; output pulse amplitude - 700 kV. Parameters of proton beam are as follows: current density - 400 A/cm2; energy - 1 MeV; pulse duration - 80 ns. Specific power of gas medium pumping is up to 109 W/cm3
