Description
A method is developed for the extraction separation of Ru(IV) from base metals with N-n-octylaniline in xylene from HCl solution. It affords the binary separation of Ru(IV) from base metals and can be successfully applied for separation and determination of Ru(IV) from the constituent elements of a fuel used for Experiment Breeder Reactor-II.
