The determination of the equilibrium factor of Radon in air using two passive track detectors

Description

Cr-39 nuclear track detector in the closed and opened diffusion cup was used for the estimation of the equilibrium factor F in the dwelling by comparing the track density D1 to D2. This method is simple, easy, cheap and with good result. Out of 66 measurements, the equilibrium factor obtained was between 0.12-0.92, with average of 0.51. This value is the world wide overage order, which is in accordance UNSCEAR report of 0.50. The equilibrium factor was high in the closed dwelling with poor ventilation and low in the dwelling with an air cleaner and a computer
