Description
Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of the two-dimensional random lattice SU(2) x SU(2) chiral model defined on an NxN lattice are performed. The results of energy and specific heat per spin show that the system enters into the crossover region after β > 1.0±0.05, but no evidence of a phase transition is found. In addition, we analyse the finite size effects, and find no obvious differences with different lattice sizes when N > 8. It confirms the correspondence between the two-dimensional SU(2) x SU(2) chiral model and the four-dimensional SU(2) gauge theory in the random lattice formulation. (orig.)
