Applicability of the Cm-ratio methodology to nuclear material accountancy for pyroprocess

  • 1. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Daejeon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

The Cm-ratio method has been a reliable way to achieve nuclear material accountancy for DUPIC and ACP. To apply the Cm-ratio concept to the engineering-scale or commercial-scale pyroprocessing facilities for securing the input accountability, it is essential to get a representative homogeneous sample of the spent fuel assembly and to measure the sample directly with proven technologies. This could be achieved by adopting a homogeneously-mixing stage after the voloxidation process
