Analysis on water hammer elimination of demineralized water transfer and storage system
Description
Focusing on the frequent blow-off of the safety valve in the demineralized water transfer and storage system in Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant Unit 1, the pipe line was modeled with fluid software RELAP5, the influence of the pneumatic isolating valve closing time on the pressure jump caused by water hammer in the DWS system was investigated. To solve the water hammer phenomenon in the system, the system pressure fluctuation of adding hammer eliminator before and after was also analyzed. It was concluded that the effect of water hammer was reduced by adding a water hammer eliminator into the DWS system. The analysis of water hammer eliminator will benefit the further application of nuclear power. (authors)
