Description

An accelerator laboratory has been set up at PINSTECH based on an indigenous design and with maximum local fabrication. This laboratory is equipped with a 250 KeV accelerator and various other support laboratories which were all built at PINSTECH along with the main machine. The most significant aspect of this laboratory is the versatility and maneuverability of the main accelerator and its components and beam manipulation devices. The accelerator is now ready and is being used for ion implantation and Direct Recoil studies using hydrogen to xenon ion beams at energies between 50 to 250 KeV. It can also be used as a high energy electron source for research as well as applications. (author)
