Determination of the radiochemical purity of pertechnetate solutions from sup(99m)Tc generators

Description
Different methods of paper chromatography and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) for determining the radiochemical purity of eluates of technetium-99m generators have been compared using both reduced hydrolyzed Tc and several Tc complexes as model impurities. Considering the results obtained and the general advantages of TLC the thin-layer chromatography on silicagel (Kieselgel H, Merck) with methylethylketone as solvent has proved to be the most suitable method among the chromatographic systems tested. Es wurden papier- und dünnschichtchromatographische Methoden zur Bestimmung der radiochemischen Reinheit von 99mTC-Generatoreluat unter Benutzung von reduziertem hydrolysiertem Tc und verschiedenen Tc-Komplexen als Modellverunreinigungen methodenkritisch untersucht. Den Ergebnissen zufolge und wegen praktischer Vorzüge wird die Dünnschichtchromatographie auf Kieselgel mit Methylāthylketon als besonders geeignet angesehen.Additional details
