Effect of ion-induced recrystallization synthesis

  • 1. Inst. Atomnoj Ehnergii NYaTs RK, Almaty (Kazakhstan)

Description

From the results obtained earlier on molybdenum it follows that the character of ion synthesis in transition metals implanted by elements creating interstitial alloys is determined by, first of all, by size factor i.e. by ratio of atomic dimensions of impinging particles and matrix elements. As it increases you can expect creation of superstructures, polymorph transformations with generation of interstitial alloys that have simple close-packed structures and, at last, reordering of lattice up to amorphization. However, in the last case, as experiments on studying energy and dose dependency of phenomena studied showed, amorphization is not end stage of structure-phase transformations
