The decay of the Δ-resonance in nuclear matter
Description
The Δ-resonance is believed to play an important role in the dynamics of a nucleus-nucleus collision at intermediate energies, as well as for the emission of energetic particles. In some tests using hadronic probes as well as in some electromagnetic processes, a rather large increase in width and in some cases a shift in peak energy have been observed. For making detailed considerations of such phenomena, it is necessary to understand the properties of the resonance in the nuclear medium. In this paper we will present some results of calculations of the Δ-width in nuclear matter. (author)
