Applications of semi-conductors with special reference to amorphous materials

Description
Application of semiconductor have developed at a great rate since the invention of transistor. Application as part of technical devices make use of optical, electrical, mechanical, thermal and magnetic properties of materials. The field effect transistor has developed an array of MOSFET's (metal oxide silicon field effect transistors) and millions can be formed on on silicon chip and same as a computer storage or processing element. The simpler semiconductor light emitting diode can now be made based on gallium nitride, a high resistivity material and these diode emit blue light , a property which was difficult to archive with other materials.
