Photon factory activity report 2003, Part A

This is the 21st volume of the Photon Factory Activity Report, covering the period from April 2003 to March 2004, corresponding to Japanese fiscal year 2003. This report summarizes the scientific highlights, the newly developed experimental facilities including beamlines and experimental apparatus, the topics of in-house research activities, the research and development on accelerators, and the reports of public events, together with the description of the outline and organization of the PF. A list of publications concerning the activities at the PF is also compiled. (J.P.N.)
